Live Help Storm Closure Policy
LIVE HELP STORM CLOSURE POLICY
If Dalhousie is closed due to a snowstorm, and/or if 3 or more Novanet institutions are closed, the Live Help service is closed for the day. If 1-2 institutions are closed due to a snowstorm or a few sites within those institutions, the service will remain open and the Live Help providers at the affected institutions are required to find their own coverage via the Novanet Live Help listserv. Live Help student assistants can be used as replacements for shift coverage. The decision of a full service shut-down is made by the Live Help Chair (in consultation with the Live Help Coordinators) and is communicated to the Live Help listserv and to the Novanet office.
