DUTIES:

The Evaluation Consultant for the four pilot projects as defined in the OLT contract for Project #21021 Remote Distance / Continuing Education Information Support Project is to: provide research expertise and direction for the evaluation of four pilot projects; provide assistance in planning the evaluation for each of the projects; oversee the trial or evaluation of each of the projects; analyze the data collected during trials; assist with the preparation of reports; promote effective communication among participants and other related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree in the Social Sciences (or acceptable equivalent) with experience in structuring project evaluations. The ideal candidate would have recently graduated with a Masters degree in one of the social sciences and have some experience working in the non-profit sector; have experience with information technologies such as internet browsers, spreadsheet software, database management software, web page development software, course management software, web survey software, online tutorial development software; have an interest or experience with the challenges of distance learning and/or academic libraries; have good organizational and administrative skills as well as sound analytical, verbal and written communication skills. The incumbent will function as a member of a team, and therefore must possess good interpersonal skills.
