Vendor Recordings
The recording of OCLCs presentation of WCL and their new interface WorldCat Discovery is available now on the Novanet site. Go to http://www.novanet.ns.ca/novanet-discovery-service-steering-committee/ and follow the link for Vendor Recordings.
We were pleased to have more than 60 people attend the presentation and provide valuable feedback through the Vendor Assessment Form and through the Q&A with OCLC. If you attended the presentation but didn’t submit an assessment form its not too late to do that. You’ll find it on the same web page. After viewing the recording please take a moment to fill out the form and/or provide any other feedback either by emailing office@novanet.ns.ca or talking with your local Steering Committee member.
We’ll mount future recordings as they become available.
A couple of points about the recordings:
1) They are very large (650 MB) and are in QuickTime format so are compatible with both Windows and Mac machines. I would suggest that you might want to download it once for your library and put it on a local network drive to avoid everyone having to wait the 15 or more minutes it will take to download it.
2) I promise to either not sit at the front, powder my head, or wear a hat next time (You’ll see what I mean)
