Overview of MARC Request Functionality

We submit search requests for monographic keys every other Wednesday.In order to create a MARC REQUEST use the cataloguing module’s BRC functionor order material in the ACQ module specifying a MATERIAL CODE ‘qm’ forthe item. Make sure you include a numeric key such as LCCN or ISBN. Anoverview of the MARC REQUEST functionality is available. Note that we do not submit serial MARC Requests due to very low volume and poor hit results – the potential for mismatches is much greater than for monographs.
